What is the Virtual Sunshine Walk?

The Virtual Sunshine Walk aims to bring people together online to raise funds and awareness for the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund. 

The COVID-19 pandemic has meant that we can't gather together as a community as planned this year, but it doesn't mean that we can't still make a difference!

A virtual event will allow everyone including cancer patients who are among the most vulnerable to COVID-19, to participate in a fun day supporting a worthy cause, and to connect with our amazing Sunshine Walk community online.

After an opening ceremony is streamed live from 7am, you will be challenged to walk your selected distance of 5km, 10km or 20km anywhere in the community.

Get dressed up and share your photos, videos and stories on your fundraising page or to the Sunshine Walk Facebook community group.

We would love for you to join us virtually and help support families in our region impacted by cancer!

7.15am – Walkers set off on their own socially-distanced walk

Registration Fees

Everyone who registers will be issued with a yellow Sunshine Walk t-shirt.

We’d love for all of our walkers to wear these on the day so you will stand out and be spotted all over the region. If you spot a Sunshine walker out and about, make sure you show them lots of encouragement!

Your registration fee covers the cost of running this event and a donation to the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund. The money you fundraise will stay locally to support research, equipment purchases, staff development and delivery of Wellness Centre services at the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre.
