Sunshine Walk Challenge Cups

Get your friends, family, workplace, school, sports club or even your town together to take part in one of six challenge cups.

Town Cup

From Henty and Holbrook in the north, Mansfield and Mt Beauty in the south, Deniliquin to the west and Khancoban to the east, the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre services a large regional catchment. But which of our towns can raise the most money to support this vital service?

Our winners for the past four years have been the incredible Hearts of Howlong, which have raised a collective total of almost $50,000. Will they sign up to defend their title again in 2023, or will there be an opportunity for another town to take the crown?

All individuals must enter and pay separately online. All entrants will automatically be grouped via their postcode and the town which raises the most funds wins!

Corporate Cup

Open to any business or organisation, this is awarded to the workplace which raises the most money.

The 2022 winning team was Paull & Scollard Nutrien, which used its amazing networks in the stock and station industry to achieve a fundraising tally of almost $20,000.

Previous winners include TVN On Country ($16,000), Rivalea ($16,000) and Ray White Albury ($35,000).

School Cup

Open to current students, parents and teachers, this is awarded to the school which raises the most money.

Trinity Anglican College took out the title last year after its amazing community raised more than $3300.

The title was previously held by Hume Public School ($5300), St Augustine's Primary School ($8000) and Victory Lutheran College ($2700).

Schools are encouraged to register a team and then invite students, parents and staff to join. Students under 18 years will need a parent/guardian to sign the waiver on their behalf.

Family and Friends Team Cup

Create a team with your family and friends and raise as much as you can to win!

Winners for the last two years, the Chemo Chicks is made up of the incredible nurses who work at the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre. Together the team of friends, family and workmates has raised a staggering total of $39,000.

Previous winners include KBC Plumbing ($20,500) and Team Sampson ($27,700).

Sports Club Cup

Sporting clubs from across the region are invited to register for the walk and fundraise to be in the running for the Sports Club Cup.

The club which raises the most money wins!

This category was new for 2022 and was taken out by Evolve Dance Company, which raised $4500.

Individual Cup

This cup is open to anyone who is registered for the Sunshine Walk, either as an individual or as a member of a group.

Last year's winner was Matthew Pitzen, who raised $7000 and helped his team, Paull & Scollard Nutrien, to also take out the Corporate Cup.

Previous winners were Gareth Vannoort ($8200) and Marie Orr ($7300).
