Sunshine Ride

I am riding to support local families impacted by cancer, whose burdens and trials make our wobbly‑legged exertions seem but a trifling inconvenience.

My most esteemed friends and benevolent patrons,

Pray lend me your ears (and, if providence allows, a modest donation), for I am to partake in a most extraordinary endeavour known far and wide as The Sunshine Ride on the 13th and 14th days of March in the Year of Our Lord 2026. Yes, indeed—together with my steadfast team, I shall mount an exercise bicycle and proceed to pedal, with great vigour and perhaps questionable sanity, for a full twenty‑four hours.

Now, one might think such a feat reserved for characters of particularly curious temperament, but I assure you it is undertaken with noble purpose. For the aches, groans, and elegant wobbling that shall surely follow our marathon of pedalling offer but the faintest whisper of the trials faced by those in our community journeying through cancer.

Every farthing, penny, and dollar raised shall remain here, in our own good region, supporting the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre. These funds will help furnish new facilities, expand vital services, and advance research—granting our neighbours the comfort of receiving treatment close to hearth and home, surrounded by those who cherish them.

Thus, I beseech you: consider making a donation of any amount your purse can spare. Whether the size of a grand fortune or the humble jingle of coinage, every contribution counts—and counts mightily.

Your support warms the heart brighter than any sunshine, and for it, I offer my deepest thanks.

Thank you to my Sponsors
