I'm walking for cancer treatment and services
I'm fundraising to support Border cancer services. Regional people deserve the very best in treatment and care, just like people in cities.
Every cent I raise will stay locally to help local people. People going through the cancer journey should be able to do it close to home, where they can be supported by their families, friends and communities.
The funds we raise through Sunshine Walk will help pay for new equipment for earlier diagnosis and treatment. It will pay for staff training, so the local workforce can stay up to date with the rapidly changing world of cancer treatment. It will be invested in research, providing local people access to national drug trials, and it will support wellness services, like psychology, exercise programs and support groups.
Everyone in our community knows someone affected by cancer, so let's come together to support this vital local service. Every dollar counts!

Hearts of HowlongMonday 6th Jul Last year I was privileged to walk with the Hearts of Howlong team and had a fantastic day! So this year I have decided to do the 10km walk because I have unfortunately recently become involved with the Albury Wodonga Cancer Centre with my husband, and going through this, I realise just how important the centre is for our community. Not only with my husband I have also been a support for Regan (the creator of the Hearts of Howlong team), and now my nephews wife is also undergoing treatment. Because of this close involvement with the centre, I am very passionate about raising money for this amazing facility, and love the fact that all of the money stays here locally and goes straight into the cancer centre. Please get on board and help myself and Hearts of Howlong dig deep and make a difference. Share
