Virtual Sunshine Walk

We are helping to raise funds & supporting those we love!

Our amazing Mum has recently been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer, last week the Cancer was also detected in her liver. This news was devastating for our family, Mum has a battle on her hands and we are ready to fight with her.  We want to shower Mum with support. More now than ever we know how important it is to get together, create networks of support, spread awareness and most of all raise funds to support the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund who will now be supporting us.

We are hoping to raise $5,000 in a short space of time so please jump on board and walk with us! 10kms from Wade Smith Plumbing  - Piccolo Pod Killara & back, it will be fun!

November is also Pancreatic Cancer Awareness month so over the top of our sunshine walk T’s we hope our team will colour themselves in Purple for our walk. This may include but is not limited to tutu’s, feather boas and glitter!

Regional people deserve the very best in treatment and care, just like people in capital cities.

Every cent I raise will stay locally to help local people. People going through the cancer journey should be able to do it close to home, where they can be supported by their family, friends and communities.

The funds we raise through the Virtual Sunshine Walk will help pay for new equipment for earlier diagnosis and treatment. It will pay for staff training, so the local workforce can stay up to date with the rapidly changing world of cancer treatment. It will be invested in research, providing local people access to national drug trials, and it will support wellness services, like psychology, exercise programs and support groups.

Everyone in our community knows someone affected by cancer, so let's come together to support this vital local service. Every dollar counts!

Walk 10kms or 5kms whichever you like!

Wednesday 11th Nov
11 days to go!!!

We currently have 30 team members walking with us, what a mammoth effort.
With thousands of dollars already generously donated, we are so grateful ☀️
The day is shaping up to be a lot of fun, don’t forget to organise your PURPLE outfit and collect your free Yellow Sunshine Walk T-Shirt from Health Focus Physiotherapy in Albury or Wodonga. Purple and Yellow what a perfect combo for the day 💜💛💜💛💜💛

We are aiming for a 7am start @ Wade Smith Plumbing and walking to Piccolo Pod Killara and back via the rail trail. When we arrive at Killara we will enjoy some light refreshments to keep us going for our journey home (Piccolo Pod may not be open so please don’t count on a caffeine hit).

If you wish to only walk some of the way that is totally fine too, just being there will be such a buzz for us 🙏🏻

Once again thank you for being involved in such a wonderful cause and showing your support!

Thank you to my Sponsors
