Claire’s 100km in May

By Claire Beer

Help me make a difference!

I'm fundraising for the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund and I'd love if you could help support me in my 100kms walking/jogging throughout May, and my goal target of raising $2,500.

Dad was diagnosed with Stage Four Pancreatic Cancer in December 2018 and was receiving treatment throughout his battle at the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre, until his passing on September 20th 2019.

The Trust Fund is a 100% local charity, with all money raised going towards new facilities, services and research at the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre.

This will mean that more people in our regional community will be able to get the treatment and support they need close to their home and families as I know that we have all known someone impacted.

Please consider making a donation or contacting myself.

My Updates

Friday 4th Jun
THANKYOU to all of our sponsors for our trivia night that is on TONIGHT! I’ve been completely blown away with the generosity from everyone to support this great local cause. The money goes straight to the cancer centre and I hope that we are able to help ease someone’s cancer journey even if it’s only a little. Thankyou to everyone for helping me to surpass my goals! We will have a total tally post after tonight’s event of how much we have raised. Thankyou for believing in my small dream and making it BIG! Dad.. you’d of laughed at my silly idea inspired by your cancer battle, but just like everything else you’d of backed me and been my sounding board and my biggest supporter, and given me a kick up the arse when I needed it🤣 I hope everyone has a great night tonight!! 🏃🏼‍♀️❣️ Cheers

I did it!  103.8kms
😂 of course I had to pass 100kms, but it was getting a bit cold and dark otherwise I’d of kept going. I walked and jogged 103.8kms throughout May, with a week off due to a small injury, and I’m feeling pretty chuffed!

The support and donations received have been absolutely amazing! A big Thankyou to EVERYONE!

Some items we have had donated for the trivia night this Friday (that I can think of) are vouchers, scooters, meat voucher, care pack, washing powder and more... WOW!

If anyone would like to make donations for Friday night please let us know.

Book your spot or get 8 people together to book a table with Janice for Friday night!

I will be going to Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund Inc later this month to catch up with Sally who has been a great support in helping to promote my fundraiser.

Raffle tickets for the fire pit are still for sale and will also be available at the trivia night to purchase.

I can’t wait to see you all there 😁

A HUGE THANKYOU goes out to Debbie, Janice, Dan, Jerilderie Newsagency, Berrigan cafe, Berrigan Economy Harrows and Sally from Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust Fund Inc for supporting my idea and being so encouraging. What a great community!
